Evaluations

Dawn offers private independent evaluations for parents (in-person and virtual). These assessments will assist in guiding diagnostic and prescriptive instruction by highlighting a student’s strengths and weaknesses. A baseline will be identified which will allow for a highly tailored multisensory intervention plan to be developed. The following areas may be assessed:

  • phonological awareness

  • decoding/encoding skills

  • fluency

  • reading comprehension

  • written expression

  • handwriting
